If so, is it not true that time alone can judge a work of art?
Or was I judged on my talent? Are you willing to share my 'C'?
Perhaps I was being judged on the quality of coathanger itself out of which my creation was made... now is this not also unfair?
Am I to be judged by the quality of coathangers that are used by the drycleaning establishment that returns our garments? Is that not the responsibility of my parents?
A Very Biased Movie Review/Summary: Know1ng.

This is FULL of spoilers.
So if you don't want to know what happens, for whatever reason, don't read this.
I will warn you though that the movie Know1ng (Knowing) takes a VERY religious turn at about the last 30 minutes of the feature.
That's all I can say to warn you about it, it's not even a spoiler.
Just expect it.

Note: This is all my opinion. It was an excellent movie up until the nightmare Caleb has about an hour anda half in. The religious turning point.

Plot (as told by Wikipedia) :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowing_(film)#Plot

So it all begins with a small girl who's hearing these strange sounds in her mind. She seems distracted and is always staring at the sun. Hm. Foreshadowing?
The idea of the school's opening event is to create a time capsule. A class is to draw what the future will be like in fifty years. The little girl, named Lucinda, writes a full page of nothing but numbers to put into the capsule. Well, she doesn't have enough time to finish the numbers so later that night, the teachers find her scratching the last of the numbers into a door in the gym.

Crazy. This is the opening of the movie in a nutshell.
I'm just gonna disect the plot from Wiki to make it easier on my memory.

[quote="wiki"]
In 2009, the time capsule is opened and the drawings are given to the current students. A boy named Caleb receives Lucinda's envelope.
His father John Koestler, a widower and professor of astrophysics at MIT takes notice in the paper, and further examination makes him realize that part of these digits form dates and death tolls of every major disaster over the past fifty years, in chronological order, and suggests three disasters yet to come.
Meanwhile, Caleb begins receiving visits from mysterious figures in overcoats (listed in the credits as "The Strangers"), and during his encounters he hears their overlapping telepathic whispers.
[unquote="wiki"]

Alright. An astrophysics professor who is also a widow screams depression. Ironically enough, he's got a drinking problem to "drink his baby away". Poor guy, but still. He's crazy enough to start examining the numbers. WHILE he's DEEPLY drunk.
I'm not quite sure how this works but the first one he finds is 9/11/2001. It's like.
What?
Okay- Plot development!
This is the hook that the audience has been waiting for!!
For about... the last... 20 minutes...
Alright. So we're getting somewhere! Let's go to the (last) greatest scene of the movie!!

[quote="wiki"]
John finds himself stuck in traffic as a commercial plane crashes next to the road, killing the number of people predicted, on the predicted date. John then discovers that the unexplained digits on the paper are in fact the geographic coordinates of the events.
[unquote="wiki"]

....what? That's all it gets? It seems to be the greatest plane crash in all cinematography history of 2009 and... it only gets one sentence? <strike>Oh well. You'll just have to go see it, I guess.

</strike>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDqfmEd4fQ8

Enter the next main character and her daughter..

[quote="wiki"]
Speaking with Lucinda's former teacher, John learns of Lucinda's closet episode, and also that she had since died after an overdose. He then meets Lucinda's daughter, Diana Wayland, but is rebuffed once he mentions Lucinda's paper. [unquote="wiki"]

Alright. So Lucinda committed suicide and her daughter, Diana, and her daughter, Abby, are now involved. There was a great stalker scene of John attempting to follow Diana, then the delightfully awkward meeting where it seemed like John was trying to ask a woman out on a date for the first time in his life. We find that Caleb and Abby, the children, are both nerds. You automatically get the sense that they'll be the perfect couple. More foreshadowing?

[quote="wiki"]
However, after John used the numbers to correctly predict another disaster—a Manhattan subway train derailment which John tries and fails to prevent—Diana seeks out John and reveals that her mother foretold of the date of Diana's own death. John then notices the same date is the last one written on the paper, accompanied by a predicted death toll of 33, although no coordinates are listed.
[unquote="wiki"]

So Diana is going to die on the last date along with 32 other people?
The last numbers are 33 and don't have cooridinates?
Huh... This is interesting, can we learn more about this now?
The answer....
Sure. But not after some long and tedious (and somewhat useless) plot/character development.

[quote="wiki"]
They investigate Lucinda's old remote mobile home, to where Diana says her mother moved because Lucinda claimed it was where she would be safe. Diana notes that like Lucinda, her own daughter Abby was fascinated by Merian's drawing of Ezekiel's "chariot vision".
[unquote="wiki"]

Well... This is interesting development and all.. but what's this about a picture?
There's also something wikipedia fails to mention is the small rocks.
Small pebbles that keep showing up EVERYWHERE. They seem to have very great importance....
But do they really?

[quote="wiki"]
As Abby also liked to write certain characters backwards, Diana and John discover to their horror that the '33' at the end of list is actually 'ƎƎ' ('EE' reversed), which Lucinda meant to represent 'Everyone Else'.
[unquote="wiki"]

.....well, beaver dam it all.

[quote="wiki"]
In the woods outside the home, John confronts one of The Strangers, who disappears in a flash of light. It is revealed that Abby can hear The Strangers' eerie whispers as well.
[unquote="wiki"]

Great. Now we have two children who are completely psychotic, are being stalked, and super smart.
Thanks, Gawd.
Speaking of which....

[quote="wiki"]
John and a fellow professor forecast that a massive solar flare will soon reach Earth, and the final disaster on Lucinda's paper will indeed be global in scale. John examines the door of the closet in which Lucinda was found, and discovers it is where she had scratched another set of coordinates. They represent the location of Lucinda's old mobile home, and John figures that it is somehow a refuge from the impending disaster.
[unquote="wiki"]

So. The sun is our impending doom? A solar flare is going to burn Earth to a crisp? That's.... scaringly realistic. I'm afraid to look at the sun the same way again. In fact. I'm scared to go outside.
The only way they'll be safe is hiding in a mobile home? Really? Well, at least Diana is the smart one and wants to hide in caves. Well. Let's see what great lengths her motherly instincts force her to go.

[quote="wiki"]
Diana insists they seek shelter in underground caves instead, and she takes Abby and Caleb, without John's knowledge, to go there. As panic erupts after news of the flare is made public, The Strangers drive off in Diana's car with Caleb and Abby still inside. Diana gives chase in another vehicle and is broadsided by a truck, and dies on the exact date her mother predicted that she would.
[unquote="wiki"]

...
...
...
...
What?
WHAT?
THEY KIDNAPPED THE KIDS? AND KILLED THE MOTHER??
Excuse my language.
But.
What.
The.
Hell.
OH. SPEAKING OF HELL.

[quote="wiki"]
At Lucinda's mobile home, John finds the kids with the four Strangers as a glowing vessel descends from the sky. The Strangers dispossess themselves of their human appearance, revealing themselves to be glowing, translucent figures surrounded by wisps of light. The Strangers invite those who can hear their whispers to leave Earth with them.
[unquote="wiki"]

Wait. They're.... aliens? In the movie they had wings... Like... Jak in the Jak&Daxter video games...
Are they angels? Why are stalker-angels taking the super smart and hearing-voices-psychotic children?

Wait--- Does that mean. Only.. Hearing-voices-psychotic and super smart children (who are also stalked by angels) will be saved from the impending doom of a solar flare that's going to crisp Earth to nothing?

....Oh, Hell.
